General Questions
How do weighted blankets work?
The magical benefits of our cozy, calming weighted blankets are backed by science! Sleeping under weight has been proven to lower stress, ease anxiety, and improve the quality of your sleep. Here’s how it works:
- Activates the effects of Deep Touch Pressure (DTP)
- Increases serotonin, the happy hormone, to make you feel more content
- Increases melatonin, the sleep regulating hormone, to lull you into a blissful slumber
- Decreases cortisol, the stress hormone, to help you relax
- Mimics the effects of ‘grounding’ or ‘earthing’ so you feel secure
- Mimics the sensation of a warm hug, to help you feel safe and relaxed
For more information, read our deep-dive into how weighted blankets work.
What are the health benefits of a weighted blanket?
The most significant health benefits of weighted blankets include improved sleep and reduced feelings of anxiety and stress. Many people with autism, fibromyalgia, post-traumatic stress disorder, restless leg syndrome, or sensory processing disorder have found that sleeping under weight benefits their health.
Can a weighted blanket help reduce stress and anxiety?
If you’re curious about how weighted blankets ease anxiety, the science-supported explanation is that Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) helps your body naturally produce more serotonin (happy hormone) and melatonin (sleepy hormone) while curbing high cortisol (stress hormone) production. Studies show that sleeping under weight delivers the therapeutic benefits of deep touch pressure (DTP), which leaves us feeling calmer and more relaxed.
Can a weighted blanket treat RLS?
Many people have found it beneficial to use a weighted blanket for restless leg syndrome. The evenly distributed weight of our filler-free Nappers delivers the therapeutic effects of deep touch pressure, which can help to ease tension and restlessness throughout the night.
How are Bearaby’s weighted blankets different from other weighted blankets?
Most conventional weighted blankets are filled with tiny plastic pellets or glass beads. This means that they’re hot and sweaty to sleep under, and they’re extremely damaging to the environment — at the end of their lifecycle, the plastic pellets end up in landfills or in the ocean.
A Bearaby blanket does things differently. Unlike conventional weighted blankets, our Nappers are weighted with layer upon layer of our patented yarn instead of artificial fillers or plastic pellets. We use only sustainably sourced fabrics, grown and crafted without the use of harmful pesticides or chemicals. Our hand-knit, chunky loop design and breathable fabrics allow air to circulate around you so you stay at a just-right temperature while your weighted blanket naturally brings about better sleep and relaxation.
Another stand-out feature of our Nappers is that they look as good as they feel! We were even awarded a coveted Red Dot Award for Product Design. We believe that you should be able to enjoy products that deliver proven health benefits without compromising on style, so our weighted blankets are designed to complement every couch and bed, while helping you enjoy better sleep!
What’s so special about the Napper’s chunky weighted yarn and knit design?
We developed an innovative way to layer natural cotton into a soft and chunky firm yarn that delivers the same amount of weight as traditional fillers, but more responsibly and effectively. It’s a technique that’s never been used before, and we even have a patent for it!
Our knitted design isn’t just a pretty face – it also serves an essential purpose. Our chunky loops evenly distribute weight over your body, while allowing air to circulate in and around the weaves. So you can rest assured you’ll never feel overheated while you sleep – a common complaint from those using traditional weighted blankets.
How long does it take to get used to sleeping with a weighted blanket?
It takes around three weeks to form a new habit, and a new sleeping routine is no exception! If you’re using a weighted blanket for the first time, it’s important to listen to your body, allowing yourself to ease in and get used to the weight little by little. We recommend using the Napper for less than 2 hours during the first three days, and gradually increasing the usage until you build up to a full night’s rest. After around ten days, you should begin to notice that you’re used to your blanket, and after three weeks you should start seeing the benefits of a new routine that includes natural, deep sleep.
How heavy should my weighted blanket be?
The recommended weighted blanket weight is 10% of your body weight. Our Nappers are available in 10, 15, 20, and 25 lb weight options. To help you determine the weighted blanket weight that suits you best, take our handy quiz.
For children, we recommend a weighted blanket that’s around 15% of their body weight. Our weighted blanket for kids, the Nappling, is available in 5 and 7 lb weight options. If you need help finding out which weight is right for your child, take our short quiz.
Should I sleep under weight if I have a pre-existing medical condition?
While weighted blankets can help to treat some common sleep disorders, sleeping under weight isn’t recommended for people with certain pre-existing medical conditions, such as sleep apnea. Some people with conditions such as these found it uncomfortable to sleep under weight. If you have a condition that you’re concerned about, we always recommend that you check in with a healthcare professional before trying out a weighted blanket.
Don’t forget that we also offer a 30-day return policy, so if you get the green light from your doctor, you can try out one of our blankets and see if it works for you!
Does Bearaby offer discount codes or coupons?
We’re committed to creating high-quality products that are sustainably and responsibly made. We use only the best materials, practice sustainable, closed-loop manufacturing, and pay everyone involved equitably and promptly. As part of this no-compromise sustainability policy, we don’t offer year-round discount codes or coupons outside of holidays and special occasions.

Does insurance cover weighted blankets?
The short answer is: maybe! There are a lot of nuances in insurance policies in general, and whether weighted blankets are covered comes down to the individual policy.. It often depends on what state you live in, what type of insurance you have, and what kinds of medical equipment are covered. Check out our blog post Are weighted blankets covered by insurance? for more guidance.
Can you travel with a weighted blanket?
Yes – in fact, our Travel Napper is made for this very purpose! When packed into its duffel bag, our Travel Napper measures 20” x 10” x 10” – the perfect size for carry-on luggage. Our 10 lb Travel Napper is a filler-free travel weighted blanket that, unlike many other weighted blankets, doesn't contain plastic pellets or beads, so you don’t have to worry about fillers in your blanket causing delays as you make your way through airport security.
Are your weighted blankets safe for pets?
Provided you supervise your pet carefully, it’s safe to share your Napper with your fur baby Never let your fur baby bury itself under a weighted blanket unsupervised since the full weight of your Napper could be too heavy, especially for a small or mid-sized pet. Make sure you’re keeping an eye on any furry family members cuddling with your Napper.
The good news is because our Nappers are hand-knitted with open loops that allow a constant supply of airflow, there is minimal risk of suffocation even if your dog or cat accidentally gets stuck underneath one of our weighted blankets. Also, because our Nappers get their heft from fabric layers, should your pet decide to chew your Napper, there are no small beads or plastic pellets that can spill out and pose a choking hazard.
Are Bearaby blankets sold in-store?
Yes, you can head over to any Nordstrom location listed here to see our Cotton Nappers in real life.
What materials do you use in your products?
Our cotton weighted blankets are made from sustainably farmed Better Cotton that’s pre-washed for buttery softness. It’s a just-right blend of breathable and cozy for year-round comfort.
Our Tree Napper and Tree Hugger are made from TENCEL™ Lyocell: an ultra sustainable, extra cooling, and completely biodegradable fabric. Since they’re naturally moisture-wicking and cooling as can be, Tree Nappers are an ideal weighted blanket for hot sleepers
Our GRS-certified Ocean Huggers transform ocean-bound plastic into a napworthy knit that’s cool and crisp for all-season comfort. Each Ocean Hugger prevents 600 plastic bottles from polluting our oceans!
The Melofoam™ in our Huggets and Cuddler is completely free of any harmful chemicals or pesticides. The manufacturing process is zero waste, and the materials in our Hugget are so natural, they’re fully biodegradable and compostable.
Our warmables and weighted sleep masks get their weight from all-natural Terraclay™. A safer, biodegradable alternative to glass or plastic beads, Terraclay™ provides calming, gentle weight that’s soothing for you and the planet, too.
All of our products are Fairtrade International certified, and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, meaning that they’re kind to the people that make them as well as the people that use them.
Where are your materials sourced?
Our long-staple, all natural cotton is sustainably farmed in India. We’re committed to using 100% responsibly sourced cotton because it creates a better life for the people who grow it, and a better product for the people who use it.
Our Tree Nappers and Tree Huggers are made of TENCEL™, a soft and sustainable fabric made out of wood pulp, which is sustainably milled in Austria.
Our Ocean Huggers are made from ocean-bound plastic, with each blanket preventing 600 plastic bottles from polluting our oceans.
Our Huggets and Cuddler are filled with Melofoam™, which is made from sap tapped directly from hevea trees in Sri Lanka. The sap is collected in coconuts and gently steamed to form a solid foam. Our natural rubber foam is completely organic, socially responsible, environmentally friendly, and traceable through every step of the supply chain.
All of our products are Fairtrade International certified.
Are your products hypoallergenic?
All our weighted blankets are hypoallergenic and carry OEKO-TEX certifications – this means none of our products contain any harmful substances, artificial chemicals, or pesticides, and they are produced in environmentally friendly facilities.
What is your packaging made with?
We’re proud to say Bearaby is a zero-waste company. We’ve committed to a zero-plastic production line from the start, which means you won’t find any plastic wrapping or excess packing materials around our products.
We’re doing our bit to eliminate single-use plastic by shipping our products in 100% organic cotton bags, rather than using environmentally harmful and non-recyclable plastic packaging. These cotton bags are designed to be reused and repurposed.
What are the Napper sizes?
All of our Nappers are hand-knitted, so the size and weight can vary slightly. Our Napper is designed for a single person, and depending on the weight of the blanket, the dimensions are:
What is the difference between the Cotton Napper and the Tree Napper?
It’s simple: the Tree Napper is cooler and better for people who sleep hot, while the Cotton Napper is a good all-rounder!
If you like it cozy, usually don’t get overly hot at night, share the bed with a furry friend, and you want a Napper you can use all year round – the Cotton Napper is for you.
If you tend to sleep hot and often find yourself waking up feeling a bit sweaty every night – the Tree Napper is your perfect bedmate.
Our original, super soft Cotton Napper is made from all natural sustainably-farmed cotton. Our cooling Tree Napper is made of TENCEL™, a biodegradable fiber made from eucalyptus trees, which are grown and replanted in a sustainable, closed-loop process in Austria.
On our blog, you can read more about the cool benefits of the tree-fabric TENCEL™.
What Napper is best for hot sleepers?
We steer clear of artificial materials and use a breathable, chunky looped design, so all of our Nappers are natural and breathable.
Because TENCEL™ is slightly more cooling than Cotton, we usually say that our Tree Napper is the best choice for hot sleepers. Our Cotton Napper is a better fit if you’re looking for something a little more cozy but still breathable. Our Velvet Napper is the warmest of all of our Nappers, and better suited to couch cuddles rather than all-night naps.
Do I use the Napper as a daytime or nighttime blanket?
Our Cotton and Tree Nappers can be used both day and night, while our Velvet Napper is better suited for lighter use. If you’re using your Cotton or Tree Napper in bed and find that you’re too cold, we recommend layering your Napper on top of a thin sheet or comforter for extra warmth. We’ve been fortunate to get some great reviews from our customers who use their Napper in bed every night, as well as from fans who just use it on the couch as a naptime buddy - so choose whichever use suits you best!
What are the benefits of a weighted blanket for children?
The benefits of a weighted blanket for kids are down to the science of Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) Therapy. DTP is the application of an even pressure all over the body, which evokes the soothing feeling of a cuddle. It’s the same reason we swaddle babies, and it helps children to feel safe, comforted, and calm.
DTP has been scientifically proven to increase serotonin levels, which is the hormone responsible for our happiness. Serotonin also naturally converts into melatonin, which is the hormone that helps us to fall asleep.. During naptime or bedtime, this natural conversion can work wonders to help your child fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
Which weight is right for my child?
Many children seem to prefer a heavier weighted blanket, and studies have shown that a weight of 10-30% of a child’s body weight works well. For adults, we typically recommend a blanket that weighs 10% of their body weight. It’s best to see what your child feels comfortable with and ease them into a sensation of sleeping under weight gradually, so their body can get used to it over time.
What age range is the Nappling designed for?
Our Nappling is available in 5 (36”x 48”) and 7 (40”x60”) lbs. If you need help finding out which weight is right for your child, take our short quiz.
Using a weighted blanket for a toddler poses safety risks and we do not recommend using our weighted blanket for children younger than four years old.
Are your weighted blankets for kids machine washable?
Yes, our Napplings are all machine washable! We recommend that you wash it separately in cool water, selecting either the delicate or permanent-press cycle. You should then tumble dry the Nappling on low heat. Use a gentle detergent and avoid fabric softener or bleach.
Are weighted blankets safe for children?
Weighted blankets are safe for children aged four years and older. Using a weighted blanket for a toddler or a baby poses safety risks and we do not recommend using a weighted blanket for very young children.
When should my child use their weighted blanket?
Kids can use weighted blankets in a variety of ways:
- During nap time
- During night time
- Draped over his/her lap when doing homework
- Pull out a Nappling when your little one needs some downtime – Napplings pair especially well with a book on the couch!
Read our helpful article on how to use a weighted blanket for kids for more detailed information.
How does my child adapt to sleep under pressure?
We recommend using a weighted blanket with your child gradually and helping them to understand what the pressure feels like, little by little. Try it on their lap during storytime and explain that the blanket helps to calm the body and mind.. At bedtime, for the first few nights, drape the blanket over your child’s legs rather than their whole body, to help them get used to it. Over time, cover their body up to the shoulders.
How do I know if a weighted blanket can help my child calm down?
If your child tends to be a sensory-seeker and has difficulty sleeping, a weighted blanket can be the perfect tool to help them calm down and naturally find better sleep over time.
Here are a few things to look for when considering using a Nappling for your child:
- Loves sleeping or lying under piles of blankets or heavy comforters
- Enjoys crawling into tight spaces or behind furniture
- Has difficulty relaxing and sitting still – even after a lot of physical activity
- Has difficulty focusing or attending to a task
- Likes to play rough, sometimes crashes into things on purpose, always jumping on the couch or bed
- Can be described as very physical or “wild”
If any of these statements could be true of your child, a Nappling could be a perfect tool to help them find a moment of calm!

We are committed to using only 100% organic cotton from India as it makes a better life for the people who grow it, and a better product for the people who use it. Organic cotton also uses 90% less water than conventional farming methods, so it’s kinder to the planet, too.
The Hugget’s inner Melofoam™ won’t come into direct contact with your skin, but if you’re sensitive to natural rubber materials, it’s best to check in with your allergist before snuggling up

Can I put my Napper in the washing machine?
Our Cotton Napper, Travel Napper, Tree Napper, and Nappling can all be washed in the washing machine.
Our Velvet Nappers are a little more delicate and better suited to light use. We recommend dry cleaning your Velvet Napper, and rolling it up to keep it in tip-top shape for many naps to come.
If you are washing a Cotton Napper, Travel Napper, Tree Napper, or a Nappling, here are a few important tips for machine washing:
- Wash separately in cool water
- Select the delicate or permanent-press cycle
- Use only gentle or mild detergent
- Avoid using fabric softener or bleach
- Tumble dry on low heat – please note it may take more than one round for your Napper to dry completely
- Never hang your Napper up to dry – it’ll stretch out the lovely loops!
Always check your washing machine’s weight capacity because while our delightfully heavy blankets are great for deep sleep, they can be a bit weighty for washers and dryers! What is the purpose of a body pillow? How do you use it?
A body pillow helps to alleviate pressure and tension throughout your body by supporting you all over. It holds the weight of your limbs, head, or body as you rest on it, which takes the stress off your joints and helps to reduce back, neck, and joint pain.
Body pillows can provide a lot of comfort to pregnant people, helping them to get comfortable at night, and they’re also great for keeping you still, so they’re a good option for restless sleepers, too.
You can use the Bearaby Cuddler at night or during the day, and experiment with different ways of cuddling up to see what feels the most comfy! You can wrap our long body pillow around you and use it to prop you up while you’re sitting, hug it close to your body, put it under your knees, or gently rest your head and top arm and leg on it while you sleep. It’s a great body pillow for side sleepers and works brilliantly as a pregnancy pillow. It also gives excellent full-body hugs on demand!
What is the Bearaby body pillow made of?
Our Cuddler is about as natural as it gets. It’s filled with satisfyingly squashy Melofoam™, which is a responsive foam made from sap tapped directly from rubber trees in Sri Lanka. The sap is collected in coconuts and gently steamed to form a bouncy, breathable foam. It’s a completely zero waste process that’s so natural, our Cuddler is fully biodegradable and compostable. Melofoam™ is completely organic, socially responsible, and traceable through every step of the supply chain.
The outer shell of our Cuddler is made from our supersoft BCI-certified organic cotton. We are committed to using only 100% organic cotton from India as it makes a better life for the people who grow it, and a better product for the people who use it. Organic cotton also uses 90% less water than conventional farming methods, so it’s kinder to the planet, too.
The Cuddler’s inner Melofoam™ won’t come into direct contact with your skin during daily use, but if you’re sensitive to natural rubber materials, it’s best to check in with your allergist before snuggling up.
How do I clean my Cuddler?
We don’t recommend machine washing the inner foam of your Cuddler, but you can wash the Cuddler cover cold with mild detergent and tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
Is a body pillow comfortable to lounge with or is it meant to be for sleep?
The Bearaby Cuddler is designed for functional wellness as well as home decor. It’s great to lounge with during the day, to use as a back support while you sit on your bed or couch, and it’s also fantastic for sleep. The best way to use it is the way that suits you best!
Does Bearaby sell body pillow covers?
We’re happy to report that we do sell body pillow covers! Our Cuddler covers are available in the signature colors of our Nappers and Huggets, and they’re designed to be mixed and matched to create a stylish and soothing aesthetic. Our covers are made from 100% organic BCI-certified cotton and Belgian flax linen.
What colors does the Bearaby Cuddler come in?
Every Cuddler full-body pillow comes with a white organic cotton cover which is removable and washable. Additional Cuddler covers are available in limited edition soothing shades that complement our evenly-weighted Nappers. Get ready to mix and match your way to perfectly coordinated coziness!
Do you need a pillowcase for a body pillow?
Our 100% cotton body pillow cases will help to keep your Cuddler clean, supportive, and stylish for as long as possible. And as an added bonus, our Cuddler covers help you to match your body pillow to your decor style! Our covers are washable and have a concealed zip for easy removal, so it’s not too much hassle to clean off spills and stains, or give your cover a refresh. While the satisfyingly squashy Melofoam™ filling of the Cuddler is durable, it could still get torn or damaged through general use just like any spongy material, so it’s best to protect it with a cover.

Keeping your body pillow cover clean will help to protect the pillow inside. Always follow the washing instructions on the label to keep your cover in ship shape!

How much bacteria is on my normal bed sheets?
In just one week, the average sheet can collect up to 17,000 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. Sweat, saliva, and dead skin cells turn your cozy bed into a breeding ground for germs. Bacteria and dust mite buildup can trigger allergies, asthma, and eczema flare-ups, and even clog pores, causing acne breakouts.
Woven into the bamboo fibers of our sheets is our proprietary smart botanicals – a blend of peppermint, mint, and marine proteins – that acts as a natural defense against bacteria and germs. This botanical formula eliminates 99.9% of bacteria directly within the fabric, helping prevent the buildup of dust mite-attracting microbes for a fresher, cleaner sleep.
How do you wash bamboo sheets? How often should you wash them?
To keep your silky soft bamboo sheets in tip top condition, we recommend machine washing cold with similar colors on a gentle cycle. After washing, tumble dry the bamboo sheets on low and cool iron. Avoid fabric softener and bleach, and do not dry clean.
Regular, non-antimicrobial sheets typically need to be changed every 4-5 nights, but our antimicrobial Second Skin Sheets stay fresh for 10-15 nights between cleanings — which means less laundry and more rest.
Are bamboo sheets cooling?
Bamboo is known for being the most cooling material for hot sleepers. Our bamboo cooling sheets harness the natural properties of bamboo fibers, wicking away moisture and preventing overheating all night long.
Smooth to the touch with a lustrous sheen, our sustainably crafted cooling sheets allow air to circulate and help regulate your body temperature for deeper, sounder sleep.
Choose from six different colors of bamboo sheets in king, cali king, queen, and twin sizes for sheets that match your style and your sleep temperature.
Are bamboo sheets better than cotton?
Bamboo bedding is known for its breathable, cooling properties and silky soft, lustrous texture. It’s smooth to the touch and creates an elevated, airy sleep space!
Cotton bedding is known for blending breathable and cozy, with a texture similar to your favorite t-shirt. It’s a classic choice for no-frill sheets, but sometimes feels too warm for hot sleepers.
We’ve chosen bamboo fabric for our Second Skin Sheets because it wicks away moisture and prevents overheating, helping to promote clean, sweat-free, truly calm sleep.
For our bamboo sheets, queen, king, cali king, and twin sizes are available.
Do the sheets have deep pockets?
We designed our Second Skin Sheets with a range of mattresses in mind, so they’re crafted with deep pockets wide enough to accommodate a mattress depth up to 22”.
Do Second Skin Sheets have a high thread count?
Yes! Our Second Skin Sheets are high thread count and have a silky-soft, crisp texture with a luminous finish.
Numerical thread count isn’t always an accurate description of sheet texture and feel, as many sheet manufacturers artificially inflate thread count numbers. Fabric type and composition are generally a more accurate way to gauge the softness and comfort of a sheet.
To make our Second Skin Sheets even softer than the rest, we weave the finest bamboo fabric with our proprietary smart botanicals: a natural blend of mint and marine proteins that fights off germs and smooths fibers, creating an exquisitely soft, luxuriously silky texture.
Are Bearaby bamboo sheets nontoxic?
Yes! Like all Bearaby products, our sheets are OEKO-TEX® 100 certified and free from toxic, harmful substances. Made of 100% plant-based bamboo fabric and our smart botanicals, our Second Skin Sheets are good for you and the planet, too.
Are the Second Skin Sheets scented?
No, our Second Skin Sheets are not scented. The peppermint ingredient, which helps give the sheets their germ-fighting power, is crafted through a natural process that removes any hint of minty scent from the final product. The result is a silky-soft, ultra-breathable, unscented sheet that’s just right for sensitive skin (and sensitive noses!).
What is a muslin blanket?
A muslin blanket is a breathable and finely-woven blanket made from cotton muslin. Muslin fabric is lightweight and soft to the touch, which is why muslin throws are sometimes called gauze blankets or cotton gauze blankets.
To make our Bearaby Cocoon comfy-as-can-be, we use ultra soft and super snugglable organic muslin made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. This all-natural material uses less water than traditionally farmed cotton, making it a healthier choice for you and the planet.
What is the purpose of muslin blankets?
Muslin blankets are known for their versatility — they make lounge-worthy throw blankets, breathable bedding, and can even be used as calming sensory tools. In fact, muslin fabric is so snugglable that it’s often used to make swaddle blankets for babies! Our Cocoon throw blanket is designed to bring those same soothing swaddles to people big and small.
You can use the Cocoon as a stand-alone muslin throw blanket or as an extra layer of bedding, and experiment with different ways of curling up to see what feels the most comfy. Because of its soothing texture, the Cocoon is sensory-friendly and snug in all seasons.
Is muslin good for sleeping?
Yes! Muslin fabric is breathable and buttery soft, making it a perfect fit for all-night swaddling. Our Cocoon is a muslin blanket for adults that works great as a cooling blanket in the summer or an extra layer of comfort on cold nights
Can a throw blanket be used as a sensory tool?
Muslin fabric is so soft and breathable that it’s commonly used to create swaddle blankets for babies, and these same calming properties make muslin throws a sensory-friendly blanket option for people of all ages.
Our muslin throw blankets are designed to work well as sensory tools and swaddle blankets for adults, thanks to their soothing texture and flexible shape. The Cocoon is perfect for wrapping and swaddling, which can help calm sensory overload and promote regulation. And since organic cotton muslin is naturally breathable, you’re sure to stay cool and comfy!
How do you wash a cotton muslin blanket?
The Cocoon is machine washable!
We recommend washing the Cocoon cold with similar colors on a gentle cycle, using mild detergent. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
Avoid washing your muslin blanket with any items with sharp edges to prevent potential snags or damage.
What is muslin made out of?
Our muslin is hand woven from 4 layers of GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton, carefully crafted to make the comfiest cotton muslin blankets around. It’s good for you and the planet, too! Organic cotton uses up to 90% less water than conventional farming methods and is free from harmful chemicals, pesticides, synthetics, or artificial softeners.
What’s the difference between a muslin blanket and a swaddle?
Swaddling refers to the practice of wrapping up in a lightweight blanket, while muslin refers to the fabric commonly used to make those blankets.
Muslin blankets like the Cocoon are ideal for swaddling because they’re thin and breathable, allowing you to snuggle up tight with plenty of airflow.
Can I use my Muslin Cocoon with my Napper?
The Cocoon is designed to perfectly pair with our weighted blankets, creating a soothing, dreamy duo. Measuring 54” x 72”, the Cocoon is slightly larger than our Nappers and fits just right underneath your weighted blanket for all-night calm.
Layering your Napper with a throw blanket like our Cocoon is a great way to add an extra level of comfort and sensory relief
What colors does the Bearaby Cocoon come in?
The Cocoon is available in our 5 core Napper colors: Asteroid Grey, Moonstone Grey, Midnight Blue, Evening Rose, and Cloud White.
You can complete your cocoon of calm by matching your muslin throw blanket with your favorite Napper weighted blanket, or use it as a stand-alone throw to add a soothing, textured layer to your space.
What does a weighted eye mask do?
A weighted eye mask can help you sleep better by relieving tension from your eyes, forehead, and temples, and blocking out light and distractions.
To help everyone sleep soundly, our Dreamer weighted eye mask is ergonomically designed to contour to the shape of your eyes while staying secure through the night, whether you prefer to sleep on your back, side, or stomach. You can use your Dreamer for better sleep at night and restorative rest on the go, or simply to give your eyes a much-deserved rest at the end of a long day.
What are weighted eye mask benefits?
The weight in a weighted eye mask can help melt away tension and relax your eyes — a lot like a weighted blanket does! Our Dreamer is designed to deliver gentle Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) to your eyes and temples, cradling your pressure points and helping you feel secure as you drift off.
Weighted eye masks like the Dreamer can also be a useful tool for soothing headaches and migraines, relieving TMJ tension, and calming nighttime anxiety, helping to clear your mind for a better night’s sleep.
What is the Bearaby weighted sleep mask made of?
Our weighted sleep mask gets its gentle weight from tension-melting Terraclay™: an all-natural, biodegradable clay that cradles your eyes to soothe pressure points. The Terraclay™ is encased in silky soft, upcycled Cloudweave that’s gentle on you and the planet, too.
How much should a weighted eye mask weigh?
Weighted eye masks should weigh at least 0.5 lbs in order to help you relax and sleep better through Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). Our Dreamer weighs 0.75 lbs to deliver a just-right balance of gentle weight across your eyes.

The Terraclay™ Dreamer is available in Asteroid Grey, Midnight Blue, Sweet Lavender, Seashell, and Starry Night, so you can mix and match with your favorite Napper weighted blanket!
How do heated neck wraps work?
Heated neck wraps are designed to soothe strained necks and sore shoulders. Like a gentle massage, our Calmer relaxes pressure points and melts away tension, helping you unwind at any time of day.

Heated neck wraps can boost circulation and help ease stress on the muscles in your neck, back, and shoulders.
Our Calmer is gently weighted with heat-retaining Terraclay™, combining the comfort of thermotherapy with the benefits of Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). Its ergonomic design concentrates comfort on key pressure points where tension manifests the most.
How long do you wear a neck wrap?
You can wear a weighted neck wrap for as long as it feels comfortable and relaxing!
Our Calmer has an interlocking clasp so that you can easily wear it on the go or while sleeping. Its gentle weight is designed to soothe soreness in your neck, back, and shoulders, and you can even heat your Calmer in the microwave and use it as a hot pad for neck pain.
Can you microwave a weighted neck wrap? How long should you heat it?
For soothing warmth, heat the Calmer in the microwave (800-1000 watts) for 60 seconds inside the Terra Tote. To keep your warmable safe and snuggly, do not heat without the Terra Tote. If your Calmer is not as warm as you’d like, you can reheat it in 30 second intervals. For even heat distribution, rotate the Terra Tote 180º between each reheat and check if any part’s temperature is too high. After heating, the warmth will last up to 1 hour.
Do not use the Calmer on sensitive skin areas, open wounds, or severe swelling.
What is the Bearaby Calmer made of?
Our warmable neck wrap gets its gentle weight from tension-melting Terraclay™: an all-natural, biodegradable clay that relaxes pressure points for calming comfort. The Terraclay™ is encased in huggably soft, upcycled Snugknit that’s soothing for you and the planet, too.
How do weighted lap pads work?
Weighted lap pads can lower stress, ease tension, and promote better rest. Like a smaller weighted blanket for your lap, our Lounger delivers concentrated Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) where you need it most, helping you relax and feel calm.
Unlike other weighted lap blankets, our Lounger can be warmed in the microwave and used as a heated lap pad, adding the comfort of thermotherapy to the benefits of calming weight. You can use the Lounger on your lap, back, or chest to melt away tension and soothe sore muscles.

How to use a hot water bottle?
Conventional hot water bottles need to be filled with boiled water, but this can pose safety concerns, especially if you want to use a hot water bottle while sleeping. That’s why our Snuggler is made with reheatable, all-natural Terraclay™. It delivers all the benefits of a hot water bottle with no hot water needed!
You can use the Snuggler like a hot water bottle for cramps on your stomach or back, or tuck it under your sheets to get your bed to a comfortable, sleep-promoting temperature.
Why are hot water bottles good for you?
Hot water bottles can relieve pain, reduce stress, and promote better sleep by creating a cozy sleeping environment. Many people use hot water bottles for back pain or period cramps, since their comforting warmth promotes circulation and relieves muscle tension.
Our Snuggler heated bottle is gently weighted with heat-retaining Terraclay™, combining the comfort of thermotherapy with the benefits of Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). Its sustainable design makes it a planet-friendly alternative to conventional hot water bottles, and since it doesn’t use boiling water, it’s safer than a hot water bottle for bed.
How long does a hot water bottle stay hot?
Our Snuggler can be heated in the microwave to provide safe, sustained heat for 1 hour or more. Because it isn’t filled with water, the Snuggler continues providing comforting, cozy weight while it cools.
