I recently moved to a warmer climate and was hunting for something a little more breathable and found Bearaby! I bought the 10lb cloud white and am SO happy with it! First of all it's the perfect shade of off-white. The knit is so much more breathable than solid blankets while also providing weight. The knit design allows it to mold around your body (like the perfect hug!) instead of sitting on top holding hot air in. Bearaby recommends not using it with a comforter but I have no problem with it (heavier blanket owners may disagree!). I do STRONGLY recommend putting your blanket in the dryer for multiple rounds on the FLUFF setting (air only, no heat). It did have a scent when I got it but more importantly when I pulled it out of its bag a huge puff of fabric dust came out with it. The lint trap on my dryer confirmed this. The fifteen pound blanket did feel nice, but on nights when my restless legs were bad, I was too aware of the weight of it when I tried to rollover. This would cause me to become completely awake, struggling against the blanket. The ten pound blanket is just right. Heads up: the 10 pound blanket is shorter than the other weights. This might be an issue for taller persons. So perhaps height and body frame should be taken into consideration, as well as a person's weight. It is also worth mentioning that the construction of the blanket does truly allow for ventilation, so that you do not become overheated as the blanket warms up. In fact, on cooler nights, I have found myself needing an extra lightweight cotton blanket. Only time will tell what I need to pair with it during cold winter months, but that is a much easier fix for me than having a weighted blanket that is too heavy to sleep under when it is warm. I am thankful that the blanket's first function is weight and not warmth. And due to Bearaby's special fabric and construction, they seem to have nailed that part. I am a very satisfied customer. Read More ### When deciding on which Bearaby to order, I ended up going with the cotton napper since I liked the colors more than the tree napper. The cotton napper is too hot for some summer nights (I'm a hot sleeper), but otherwise I love it. It is super soft and comfortable, and it helps me fall asleep within 10 minutes. Before I purchased the Bearaby, I was going through a phase where it was taking me about an hour to fall asleep due to restless leg syndrome. I purchased the Bearby for myself, but my husband keeps borrowing it for naps and for wrapping himself in it when we watch TV in the evening. I think we'll be buying another one soon! Lee P. After my doctor ruled out medical reasons for my complaint of feeling tired most of the time, I was convinced that I wasn't resting well at night. I found myself getting heavy blankets out to cover me even though it's summer here in Florida! As I often do, I decided to do some research & came up with articles on how weighted blankets may improve sleep quality. I linked that theory to my recent use of heavy blankets. My next step was to research the various types of weighted blankets & decided I liked the idea of a cotton knit. Being a well seasoned knitter, I then searched for patterns & yarns but soon concluded that to knit one in the luxury yarn & size I wanted, that would equal 10 percent of my body weight turned out to be too difficult for me to figure out. Reviews also commented that DIY cost about as much as buying one. After eliminating brand after brand I came upon Bearaby, specifically the Cotton Napper. I have been sleeping under it's evenly distributed weight now for the past couple of weeks, & I cannot believe the difference it has made. I've been experiencing a deeper & more restful sleep, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT & I no longer get up in the morning feeling extremely fatigued, that's life changing for me.
